The huge Egapark includes a 36-acre park with a variety of themed gardens, exhibition halls, and activities for adults and children. Walk through a 6,000 sq m (19,685 sq ft) flowerbed, then climb the observation tower. Smell the rose garden, and wander through the lily and iris beds or the Japanese gardens. Don't miss the large water-fountain area, where you can man the controls to make your own water show using about 20 different fountains. The various houses are home to reptiles, butterflies or cacti. Children will delight in the kids' farm, as well as the large play area with a climbing section and waterpark. A cafe and restaurant ensure you'll be well-nourished during your visit. • A pleasant park, cost about €14 for one adult and three children, I think just over €20 for a family, cash only. It has a limited number of hammocks and recliners. There are foundations, a play area.....  more

  • Egapark The Egapark in Erfurt is the most outstanding example of landscape design in the 1960s in Germany. Among its attractions are various theme parks, the largest ornamental flowerbed in Europe, greenhouses with tropical plants, the largest playground in Thuringia with a children's farm, a sculpture garden where works by famous artists are exhibited, and the ancient fortress of Kyriaksburg.
  • Rosenfestival was very beautiful. There was a small lake there that kids were playing in and overall I found the atmosphere so relaxing.
