Domplatz, one of the largest markets in Germany, was once the main market square and Courthouse Square--so a trip here allows you to shop where people have been trading since the 12th century. Enjoy the view of Cathedral Hill and the fortress, or stop and see the Minerva Fountain or Erthal obelisk. Various festivals are held here throughout the year, including one of the largest and best-known Christmas markets in Germany. Several restaurants are sprinkled throughout the area. It is a large greatly designed catholic cathedral, the largest in Thuringen. There are concerts and exhibitions organized within the cathedral. Very popular place to visit by tourists.

Sooo nice place and I am really amazed that if this church is that much big, how big is the biggest church in Germany. Eyecatching buildings and great atmosphere. It has different church building in this place.
