Most beautiful square I have been to ! The buildings are nicely maintained in their medival Architecture. Cobbled streets are one of the best I have seen. Lots of shopping oportunities. This market is on the way to Cochem castle from Cochem railway station. Souvenier shops, chocolate shops, winter wear shops are a lot. Narrow lanes with shopping on both sides of the lanes makes it beautiful.

When you think of "picturesque" or "intimate" this small square in Cochem has all the right ingredients! Furthermore the hospitalty is on a high level. We had a nice brunch BISTRO am Mart and everyone is very "gemütlich" or say in good spirits. Be sure to come early when you want to make some nice pictures or videos. There is only one negative aspect, one which I do not understand... cars are allowed to drive here. I'm not sure why, even during the day when its crouded, cars can pass through... In my opinion this would certainly be a pedestrian-only area.
