Born as a colonial museum, the Übersee Museum discusses what what it means to be a museum describing Germans meeting with the world. Very modern and interactive. Really excellent.

The different themes are nice, but there is a lack of English explainations. 80% of the explainations are in German only. Some of the displayed pieces are interesting, but we had to use google translate to understand the information besides them.

Great amount of Collection but poorly organised. Especially the section 'Asia' , regarding that Asia have so much different and unique culture/history/food/religion/costume/lifestyle..etc by each country. :(
