  • It is not even a castle, it is palace or monastery, the most. However, it was closed and therefore we spent the allocated time in the town. Which is a gem. Small town with narrow coble stone streets.....  more

  • Lovely to see and the highlight of the little town. The square is lovely and the castle beautifully maintained.

  • Nice and neat southern German town in the beautiful Alpine setting. Dozen od coffee shops, restaurants and stores with local products, semi precious stones (belief in the power od crystals that reaches to pre-christian times is obviously still alive here among some members od local community) and Schnaps (sort of brandy) infused with berries, pine needles od apricot aromas. Some terrific examples of late middle-ages "buerger" architecture as well as picture perfect small town castle placed at the outskirts of town. A bit enigmatic frescoes at the gallery opposite to the castle commemorate soldiers fallen in two twentieth century wars. Town has certain sinister reputation, but instead of trying to decipher it I would rather suggest spending some time on the magnificent Koenigslake some 6-7 km away.
  • Beautiful town , beautiful people, lovely experience, highly recommend,
