The church St. Gumbertus is one of the central city churches of Ansbach, Bavaria, together with the neighboring St. Johannis. Located in the Altstadt (old town) of Ansbach, St. Gumbertus, now a Lutheran church, was originally the church of a monastery that was founded by St. Gumbert around 750. Today it serves as a venue for concerts of the music festival Bachwoche Ansbach. The church contains the oldest structures in Ansbach and is considered Ansbach's city symbol.

A very unusual but extremely interesting and richly decorated church interesting for its multi-storey interior. Namely, apart from pews for worshipers on the ground floor, there are places for worshipers in the mezzanine, under the organ, and on the first floor, at the level of the organ. Particularly interesting is the glazed part of the back rooms upstairs, which probably serve as a gathering place for bishops and priests. The extremely large organ, which can be reached and viewed from close-up, and the almost panoramic view of the entire interior give this church its uniqueness and beauty.
