Orcières-Merlette, also known as Orcières Merlette 1850, is a ski resort near to Orcières, Hautes-Alpes, in the French Alps. It has been a summit finish for Tour de France stages on multiple occasions, most notably in 1971, when Luis Ocaña beat Eddy Merckx by over eight minutes to take the yellow jersey as leader of the general classification.

A fairly nice large ski station. Lots to do, decent places to eat. I prefer the smaller station but this one has a lot to offer.

Been here for 3 night although the station is real quiet it's actually very nice to hike when almost no one is around. The mountain faces south which is great, and the lift brings you to the top...

Excellent ski station for family and kids. My kids took ski lesson here and they loved it. Coach can communicate very well in English and he was patient.

Awesome ski resort. With the ski pass we had free access to the swimming pool, ice-skating! We are very lucky because this year we have great snow (more than 2m!), so we can enjoy the great snow, and the great weather also! The ski station is great, with little shops and small supermarkets. Great to stay in family for a week or so. Richard
