Accoceberry, Espelette

Great welcome!! Well maintained store and products that make you want! We were very well advised, the tasting of what we are offered to buy is a big plus! The ham is excellent as well as the lomo. We put the price but it is without regret for the quality of the product. Very nice seller and merchant! Thank you again for this moment! The poitevins ;)

We went to Espelette at the beginning of July during a week in the region, and as I had planned to stock up on black pork ham, we went to this shop. It's true, the shop is pretty, but the sellers are quite fast and aggressive, they make us taste three different hams, and the most expensive wins, so I take a little less than a kilo. A few days ago we tasted it, and it has nothing to do with taste, no flavors, it is steeped in fat, no taste, nothing, just the prohibitive price of 153€ per kilo. Besides that, we bought various products from Pierre SAJOUS, the prices are much lower, and there the taste is magnificent. For me, Accoceberry is just a tourist trap where they sell you supposedly exceptional products at the price of gold, when it's not even worth the ham that I find at home at the supermarket.
