  • Wandering the streets of Domfront in the late Spring was a sublime experience... brilliant blue skies joined forces with lush green landscapes as far as the eye could see.

  • Domfront is a pleasure to walk. The ruins, Chateau, and walled town are a delight with lively views. Great bar/ cafe to enjoy for a break.

  • Really interesting Chateau ruins. The bridge over the road is now rebuilt and open (aug 22) and makes it really easy to visit the castle. Domfront is a fantastic place (see my other review) from the town you literally cross the new foot bridge across the road below and the ruins are there, great views as well from the grounds. There are information boards scattered around which when read make the history of the place really interesting, and as in France there is a public toilet on site.
  • Domfront is such a beautiful medieval city, its quaint higgledy piggledy houses, streets and bars is charming. The castle is free to visit and is a really calm space to come and explore or to just sit. Watch the swifts flying about and learn how William the conquerer lived here. You can park nearby, something you don't find in the UK!
