A basilica minor and a national monument, Eglise Saint-Nazaire houses some of the most famous stained glass in the south of France. Historians believe the Visigoths built the original church on this site in the sixth century. The new cathedral was completed in the 12th century. The Gothic interior architecture and decorations include alternating round and square support pillars, the Saint-Pierre Vault, additional vaults with a Scandinavian influence, and the tomb of Bishop Radulphe. • If you are in the Cite de Carcassonne, don't miss visiting this church. It is small but quite stunning. Great stained glass. Sometimes concerts are held in the church.
  • A must-see while visiting the amazing environment of the Carcassonne castle.
