I had an excellent time. The cidre and calvados were great. Even better was the tour guide, Nina. I hope to go back some day snd take this tour again!

We took the full day Normandy cheese and cider group tour in February 2018. Etienne is a wonderful and knowledgeable guide. We met in Caen by the castle at his large clean VW van. We first visited a large privately owned cheesemaker and sampled the various AOC types of cheese. Etienne has a background in agriculture and is perfectly fluent in English. It is quite fascinating learning the intricacies of the agriculture of the region and how that influences the cheese and food of the region. We then visited a Camembert maker and saw the cows (We met the calves!). We ate a delicious lunch here that Etienne brought. Bread, cheese, cider, salad, etc. In the afternoon, we visited to cideries and learned about the apples, cider making, and calvados distilling! Delicious! After all of this Etienne dropped us at a small town with beautiful buildings and let us walk through and admire and picked us up on the other side. Great for digesting the alcohol ;) GO ON THIS TOUR!
