Together with architects John Sonnier and Dominique Ronsseray, Victor Vasarely established Fondation Vasarely in 1976. The trio wanted to promote "art for all" and of the "city of tomorrow." Study 42 large works of art, each 6 by 8 m (20 ft by 26 ft.) Vasarely's seven "cells" are hexagonal rooms that measure 14 m (46 ft) across and 11 m (36 ft) high. The French National Commission named the foundation a historic monument almost 40 years later. Building and exhibits feel a bit tired. Prob a little over priced. Still an interesting look around but not a large museum so will fill an hour or so

Unless you are a Vasarely true believer, best to give this one a miss. Very little of his early work in design, advertising and illustration. A very large number of large works, 6 metre square, which were grandiose but added little that was new. At 13 euro, pretty expensive....and the coffee machine didn't work.

Very cool foundation. Glad I stopped by. The size of the works and the rooms where they are displayed are quite impressive.
