We met Antonio whilst sitting around the pool. Antonio was full of positivity and assured us that as he was the Spa boss, he could offer us a 50% discount on facials if we booked some massages. Antonio went on to tell us that we would receive the best facials we have ever had, and my shave and hair cut would also be the best ever. They weren’t. Once you have walked into the Spa and decided to book a few appointments, you seem to be immediately surrounded by others. In our case it was Antonio (Who was not the boss. Just the “blah blah guy”), Magda, Christiana and Mohamed. What should have been simple seemed to be quite Chaotic. Having booked loads of treatments, including 3 x full body massages I can confirm that no matter what you book (wellness, oriental, or aroma) the massage are almost identical and very average at best. As soon as the massage is over, you are encouraged to get straight up – and get dressed whilst they stand next to you – nor prompted to sit and recover whilst drinking some water. This is not good practice and could be dangerous We also booked his & her facials which were terrible. They took place in an open plan space and my guy was so noisy. I started laughing as I had images of Tommy Copper walking around with his foot stuck in a bucket as he made so much noise. He made so much so that my wife had to shout at him to be quiet before getting up and walking out. She didn’t miss much as their facials consist of “stuff” being brushed on, before being wiped off with a tissue. Not relaxing at all. As it had been my birthday my wife had also booked a manicure/pedicure which took forever. Afterwards, some of my toes and almost all of my fingers were rough around the quick requiring my wife to file them down. I declined the hair trim based on a lack of confidence. All in all, anyone expecting quality spa treatments really should look elsewhere as I wished I’d saved €480 PS – After my wife had complained, the Spa did offer both of us free facials the following day, but we declined the offer
