Part of the French Concession area, Tian Zi Fang has transformed from a traditional residential area into a modern arts and crafts enclave. Supported and swarmed by young designers, trend setters, and expatriates, the labyrinthine district houses numerous boutique shops, workshops, studios, bars, and restaurants. The area blends Shikumen buildings with British- and Spanish-styled castles, traditional Chinese meals with international flavors, and the eastern culture with a western charm. A lot of boutiques and galleries offer a variety of handmade novelty souvenirs for sale, arrive early to purchase them, as such limited editions sell out quickly. • This place is so cute and has an abundance of little boutique shops. Plenty of places to eat too for lunch or dinner. A great place to show your guests around

  • An ancient village in the heart of Shanghai. Its a beautiful authentic old part of Shanghai that still looks unouched and is the best spot get some food and gift, also get lovely photoshoot.
  • Very nice market in the old Shanghai Street maze. It might feel a bit as a tourist trap but it’s worth going just to get the idea of the old times. Moreover, some shops are really nice and you can find typical souvenirs with a bit more local flair. Here no bargaining and you can pay with card in most shops. Many restaurants or food stands as well. Close to the metro stop.
