Beautiful area near the Governor's house that has a seating area with shade. Bring your own towels and bask in the sun. Water was not so choppy and was beautiful.

My preferred beach in Grand Cayman. The West Bay Public seems better organised with more amenities, but the feel at governors beach is better experienced than described. Mostly overcrowded on holidays and some weekends though.

Very nice beach and decent snorkeling 100 yards out. Also out 100 yards are fairly aggressive Bermuda Chub; both me and my partner got nipped while snorkeling! Saw lots of fish including a lazy barracuda who should probably be eating more Chub.
