Sink your feet into white sand and dip into the cooling water of the Caribbean at Spotts Beach. The quiet beach, which is surrounded lush green vegetation, features calm water for snorkeling with a high level of visibility. Grab your goggles and head underwater to discover the local marine life. Turtle sightings are quite common in the area. Bring plenty of food and water; there are minimal facilities at the beach and no nearby restaurants. • Not quite what we expected based on reviews. The dock is broken and you cannot walk down it, there were not turtles when we went and the water is not calm at all. Snorkeling was ok, but nothing...

  • This is a popular local public beach for spotting sea turtles. There is a small dock but the only restroom is a port-a-potty. There are some covered areas and several trees which people would hang out for shade. There is plenty of parking and the area is easy to access. The water is not too deep until you get way our toward the breakers. With water about 6-12 feet deep with a grass bottom the area is prime for turtles, however the day we were there we saw no turtles or anything. There was a couple there that said they swam with a turtle for about two hours the previous day, so it is a hit or miss with no guarantee of seeing turtles. If you are there it is worth a quick stop.
  • Nice beach, with picnic tables, ample parking, and plenty of shade. We didn't see turtles though, even though we snorkeled for quite a bit. The other people didn't see them neither. So seems like a hit or miss. If not for turtles, we wouldn't go there, as 7 mile beach is just as nice, but with less shade.
