Linnet Lake, Waterton Lakes National Park

A small lake, easy to miss. Is a pleasant stroll around the lake, path is good enough to handle with a wheelchair or stroller, accessible from small car park. Opportunities to see many wild flowers and wildlife.

Linnet Lake is a great place to visit very close to the Waterton townsite. It has a one km level trail that circles this small lake. There are benches and informative interpretive signs along the trail. It can be accessed throughout the year, but the pathway is not maintained in the winter. Parking is available at the boat launch for Middle Waterton Lake. Washrooms are available at th eparking lot during the warmer seasons. There is also a path leading up to the Prince of Wales hotel from the parking area (great views from in front of the hotel!).
