Vancouver Lookout offers panoramic views of the lively downtown, a lush park, and the harbor. The famous astronaut Neil Armstrong opened the lookout in 1977 (a cement block with his footprint stood on the viewing deck until renovations, when it disappeared). Hop on a glass elevator that will take you 168 m (553 ft) above street level. You can opt for a self-guided tour, or ask the friendly staff to point out some of the city's attractions to you. If you're hungry, consider dining at the revolving restaurant on the top. • The Vancouver Lookout is, without a shadow of a doubt, one of the best spots within downtown Vancouver to get a good 360° view of the city itself, its skyline and the surrounding areas from above without getting on a seaplane or a helicopter. Beautiful views of nature from up above too. They keep the windows clean, allowing their customers to take clear pictures. The lookout is easy to get to on foot from the Waterfront Skytrain station and Canada Place. More importantly, the tickets to enter is reasonably priced too and can be done online too where they email you QR code versions of the tickets. All staff members that we interacted with were friendly, helpful and happy to address any queries we have. Inside the tower itself, it’s very clean, comfortable and cool, which is appreciated during our visit which was the middle of the day during a heatwave. I wish they were open a bit later and I’m personally willing to pay a bit extra to see Vancouver from above around dusk and during the summer months on a clear day. This would be a good spot too to look at the pretty city lights at night. I liked the informative plaques at the observation deck and the view of the gorgeous harbor from the observation deck. Definitely a good spot to watch the sunset (depending on the time of the year of course). Well worth your time and money!
  • Is a beautiful place for that kind of views, of all that side of the city and the ocean, and their different horizons Is easy to appreciate the amazing architecture of that area from there... They have binoculars so you can find nice long distance views also... Beautiful views...
