Constructed at the beginning of the 20th century in the Gothic Revival style, Casa Loma represents the city's only castle. The midtown landmark once served as the formal residence of financier Henry Mill Pellat, known for helping bring hydroelectric power to Toronto. Originally the largest private home in Canada, the grandiose 98-room castle now acts as a museum, often used for wedding ceremonies and movie shoots. Choose between several themed guided tours, or pick up a digital audio guide at the entrance and explore the castle and gardens on your own. Using our international travel planner, Toronto attractions like Casa Loma can form part of a personalized travel itinerary.

This is a very beautiful castle building but please dont compare it with the UK castles such as Warwick, Windsor. The rooms are well preserved and provide a glimpse how the people of that era lived.... more

Had a coupon on my phone that they wouldn't accept, needed to be printed to be "authentic" so much for keeping the carbon foot print low but is very fitting for this place. Staff was friendly aside...

This was a great experience... very cool castle estate. Gardens were cool. Historical write-ups for the rooms, a horse stable, antique car museum, and a Back Stage Celebrities walk, which has little scenes with (wax?) statues and clips playing for all of the movies that were recorded at the castle. Loved it! I wasn't quite as excited about the 3rd floor, but if you are into military history, you would love it. Getting up to the tower was awesome, too.

Truly a beautiful space! It's a Gothic Revival style mansion and house museum with beautiful grounds during the summer. I can imagine weddings at this place! To get to the highest levels you have to take some very narrow stairs and if you are able to, it's totally worth going to the top. You will see amazing views of the surrounding areas! Can't wait to return here someday when things are back to normal, or as close to normal as possible!
