Plain of Six Glaciers offers awe-inspiring views, wildlife encounters, and the option to rest and refresh with a cup of hot tea. Moderately challenging and heavily trafficked, the hike starts at Lake Louise shoreline and finishes at the teahouse. Along the way, you'll pass tall cliffs ideal for rock climbing, an area with avalanche chutes, a narrow valley, meadows, and alpine groves. The last section of the trail near the ascent is quite steep and slippery, but the views from the top are well worth the effort. Note that dogs must be kept on leash. • The scenery and surroundings for many of us is a once in a lifetime experience. While not easy or inexpensive to get too, it is worth traveling there.

  • Awesome hike. ☺️ not hard but rewarding. Don’t waste money in the tea house though. Drinks and desserts were awful there.
  • Absolutely beautiful hike! We started from Lake Louise and with all the stop and photo taking it took us about 6 hours. Very doable even if challenging at times. Be sure to keep going after the tea house for incredibly views of the glaciers.
