  • Very confronting, so interesting. This little museum was created by a man who when he was 10 years old was recruited by the Khmer Rouges as a child soldier, in 1975. 4 years later he passed to the Vietnamese army, then considered as those who came to free Cambodia. He was taught to put landmines. When the peace was back, he dedicated himself to clear the landmines, and to help and shelter children who were landmine injured. This small museum shows the actual life in a country which was at war not that long ago, a war they didn't ask for, a war where all the children were enrolled as soldiers, and who today learned to live in peace together, although they remember well having been in opposing camps, fighting with guns. Visiting the museum made me silent and thankful for having known but peace.
  • Well worth a visit if you’re going out to see the Angkor temples. Small but intense museum documenting some of Cambodia’s recent past. Makes you appreciate the bravery and resilience of Cambodians and other people in countries dealing with the aftereffects of war. There are even QR codes you can scan with your phone to provide a free audio guide and free WiFi is available.
