A beautifully placed stupa on the river’s edge that slices into the mountains, this chorten deserves an erstwhile stop when you pass by it on the road whether you’re coming down from Pele La Pass or coming back from a drive passing through Trongsa. Chendebji chorten is a beautiful Nepal style stupa located on the way to trongsa. It was built at some point in the 18th century, A prayer wall or mani stone is located in the complex. It was constructed by Lam Oensey Tshering Wangchuk, reportedly to repel the demon Ngala.
