Discover one of the largest dinosaur halls in the world at Museum of Natural Sciences, an attraction that is part museum and part research center. Don't miss the 30 completely assembled Iguanodon skeletons that seem to be stalking the dinosaur hall. These fierce beasts were discovered in the 19th century not far from the museum. A Tyrannosaurus rex skeleton is another favorite that sends chills up your spine, but the nearby herbivores, such as the Stegosaurus, don't seem too rattled. The permanent exhibits continue the local theme with dinosaur discoveries, evolution, insects, shells, minerals, and animal life in the city. Temporary exhibits also move through the museum and many of these are combined with educational programs. The museum is included in the Brussels City Card, which gives you free access to 30 city museums. However, a single ticket is also very affordable. I was drawn to "the largest dinosaur gallery in Europe", and I found it worthwhile. The highlight was the display of the Bernissart Iguanodons, and the explanation of how they were discovered...

This museum was amazing! Perfect for basically anyone and we ended up spending around six hours here. That was even with skipping through some areas. The museum is really well laid out with different routes depending on how long you would like your visit to be. All exhibits were super interesting and I loved how interactive everything was- perfect for kids!

What a fun & interesting museum!! The organization is wonderful. They have lots of information for adults as well as interactive areas for children. Went with fellow adults and we enjoyed it. I also love that they have 3 paths to follow for 1 hour, 2 hours, or 3 hours depending on how much time you have. I wish all museums did this!
