Try a family recipe for Iambic brews at Cantillon Brewery, where beer has been brewed since 1900. The family-owned brewery has made beer the same way since the early 20th century, except for the addition of organic ingredients in 1999. The lambic is Belgium's specialty beer, which uses uncontrolled fermentation from local yeast varieties. The beverage that this creates sometimes looks foggy and has a sweet, smooth flavor. Learn how three types of lambic are brewed: kriek, faro, and gueuze. Taste one, or all, after a brewery tour. Individual tours are available at any time throughout the day, and the small admission fee includes a free glass of beer. Additional glasses of beer cost a few extra euros. • Cool place to visit. Nice vibe. As far as their products go: the regular Geuze is nice, the rose Gambrinus is not my cup of tea. The brewery tour is pretty cool and for beer lovers this is a must do....  more

  • The moderately interesting self-guided tour took about 30 minutes. The tasting afterwards was interesting. The whole place has a friendly, quirky vibe, and the geuze makes a great souvenir.

  • Great place to go if you are interested in beer. The brewery uses spontaneous fermentation and the brewery tour is much different than any typical brewery. The brewery is a living organism - the walls, roof etc provide the bacteria and yeast needed for the beer. The upstairs bar was very-very crowded. There is also a swag shop.
  • Great tour given at a home of wild Yeast!!! 1 hour long with beer tasting at the end for €9. Self guided tours available at a cheaper price of €7.50. Not sure if that included a beer at the end. Definitely worth a visit for any beer fan.
