  • I honestly think this is the best museum experience I’ve visited, and I’ve been dragged round a fair few historical sites by my husband (and by my parents as a child!) The museum part is brilliant...

  • A great museum! The tour guide was dressed like a Prussian soldier, and made the tour quite enjoyable! The climb to the top of the hill is long, but worth it, as you can see for miles around! One downside is a bunch of very small flies land all over you, they don't seem to bite, but they do seem to swarm all over.
  • Have to say: pretty decent museum. Especially for a museum that’s about one battle, albeit the last battle of on the most renowned military leaders in history. I especially enjoyed the relation between descriptive texts and actual artefacts: there was room to breathe, think and even after omitting and certain portion during a hastier run through I was still left with a wholesome experience. The view from by the monument was spectacular and the guys demonstrating the guns we’re very friendly. 9/10, would go again. P.S. It is a bit pricey, discounted ticket was 18 €. Then again, it really is a very well planned and executed museum, so I’d say It’s worth it. P.P.S. Maybe consider a bigger discount for history students/teachers? :-)
