Create an itinerary including St. Nicholas Abbey
One of only three Jacobean mansions still in existence in the Western Hemisphere, St. Nicholas Abbey lets visitors experience life on an authentic 17th-century sugar plantation. Roam the chambers of the "Great House" and admire its ornate decorations, antique furniture, and items collected by the owners from all over the world. Take a tour of the grounds to see the sugar cane fields and picturesque courtyard inhabited by a pair of cockatoos, or roam the lush yards, orchards, and herb garden, filled with colorful flowers, mango trees, guinea birds, and medicinal plants. For travelers who use our custom trip planner, Saint Peter Parish holidays become easier to arrange, with trips to the St. Nicholas Abbey and other attractions mapped out and timetabled.

  • Another must visit attraction in Barbados. Yes a entry fee is a bit expensive, but totally worth it. The 8 year rum souvenir that I bought was a wonderful gift. It gets personally engraved. Rum lovers would love this place. You can actually see how Rum is made from scratch. The mansion itself is a heritage site. Definately a must visit...
  • Quite good but definitely more for the history buffs. I wouldn’t go out of my way to get there. I wish places were better described without needing to look at the map, also distillery itself… we didn’t know exactly where to go and what we’re looking at. It was like 30 mins before closing time but still I expected something more interactive or better described.
