The original wooden structure of the church was first constructed in 1628, with stone lain in 1874 that still stands today. Today, this peaceful sanctuary contains various beautiful monuments and pieces of historical significance, including Barbados' oldest bell, preserved as a monument that predates the famous Liberty Bell of America.
